You can get support in exams if you have an Individual Learning Plan (ILP), called an exam adjustment.

It helps overcome barriers you may face because of a disability, health condition or neurodivergence.

When adjustments get used

Your exam adjustments will only be in place if your ILP gets approved before the exam adjustments deadline.

This gives us time to arrange your support.

If your ILP gets approved too late

If your ILP gets approved after the deadline:

  • Your adjustments won’t be ready for the next exam period.
  • They will be ready for future exams.
  • You can ask to delay your exam by applying for mitigation. This means you’ll take it later, with your adjustments in place.
